What's up, y'all? My name is Travis Swilling. I'm a finance major, and I'm from the great city of Charlotte. So I know some of you guys want to be honest students here at UNC Charlotte, well guess what, you can do that. There are five college honors programs along with almost 20 departmental programs, and even three scholars programs. So after I was accepted into the university, they emailed me about the honors programs because they knew I would be interested. I applied to the Business Honors Program online, and also went through an interviewing process in order to be accepted into the program. I've met some of my best friends in the Business Honors Program, people that I will always have connections with and that I will always stay in contact with.

UNC Charlotte offers a broad variety of study abroad opportunities, there are opportunities where you can study abroad for an entire academic year, or you can study abroad for a month, or as little as a week. So I studied abroad in Manchester, England for five weeks. The big takeaway that I got from studying abroad was the more you experience, the more you learn. I would recommend studying abroad to other students, and I think you can learn a lot about yourself when you're in a different environment.
