Hi, my name is Melissa Rustemov. I'm a communication studies major and I'm from the Charlotte area. Game day gets a little hectic sometimes ranging from tailgates, to marching men and drumline performances. There's cheerleaders visit individual tailgates. The alumni always have really awesome stuff going on and the actual kickoff itself is always really exciting.

I'm an avid sports fan so I love the fact that here at UNC Charlotte, we have a football team, basketball team, and just about any other team out there.

I really love the football program here at UNC Charlotte. I have class with all the athletes it seems and game days are really fun for students.

Basketball games are a lot of fun for me, my friends will go have different theme nights, we'll have black out or green out. They give away t-shirts and we all just get super hyped. It's a lot of fun because the cheerleaders are dancers are there as well.

Drumline are marching band bring a whole new field to the game day experience. It's always been really exciting for us and we love doing it.

A lot of students here at UNC Charlotte show a lot of support for school coming up football games, playing in intramural sports, just doing all they can wearing letters, wearing colors, and paint on the faces just having a good time.

Student excitement and school spirit during game days makes me really proud to be a 49er.
